Tiger-Rock Martial Arts offers a variety of programs for all ages and abilities. We offer martial arts training, strength and conditioning, and yoga classes. Our certified trainers motivate students to learn new skills and achieve fitness goals. Tiger-Rock Martial Arts offers a fun way for entire families to spend time together and develop friendships with other students.

Tiger-Rock TaeKwonDo blends the ancient art of TaeKwonDo with modern teaching methods and sport science to make our style available to everyone. Our program cultivates both physical and mental strength in a safe and comfortable environment. Students will develop confidence and self-esteem, while learning defensive skills and becoming skilled martial artists. Members are trained by certified Tiger-Rock instructors and are dedicated to educating groups and individuals through structured training programs. Tiger-Rock offers specialized curriculum for all ages.

The Tiger-Cubs program is designed to meet the needs of preschool students ages 4 and 5 years old. The main focus of this program is to prepare our students to not only enter our junior TaeKwonDo classes but to prepare them for school. Many children this age have spent time in group or individual care (day care, baby sitters, children’s church) but most have never been in a formal learning environment that consists of a peer group, a teacher, and stated goals of learning. In our Tiger-Cubs classes, students strengthen their social skills, self-discipline, mental readiness, large motor skills and coordination in a fun martial arts experience.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, also known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or BJJ, is a style of martial arts that first became popular in the U.S. with the introduction of The Ultimate Fighting Championship. It combines ground fighting and grappling moves such as chokeholds and joint locks to overpower an opponent. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be used for self-defense, as a sport, and in mixed martial arts competition. It highlights the concept that a student who is both smaller and weaker can effectively defend themselves against an opponent who is bigger and stronger.

Hyper Pro Training is a fusion between traditional martial arts training and modern martial arts. This program is a dynamic and exciting way to learn advanced kicking techniques, acrobatics, and weapons. Students train to become quicker, more powerful, and cleaner in their martial arts techniques. This class helps students excel to the next level in their martial arts training.

The Tiger-Rock Strength and Conditioning adds a martial arts approach to high intensity group fitness training (HIIT). Each class has a diverse selection of exercises including plyometric, bag work, and strength training. The principles of our training program allow participants of various fitness levels to experience a challenging workout. As an individual progresses so does their ability to shape the complexity and intensity of the class. Strength and Conditioning is a 30 minute class offered three days a week. Juniors (ages 10 and up) and adults may attend these classes.

Athens Tiger-Rock Martial Arts Academy is the only YogaFit facility in the region. A form of hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga focuses on balance, flexibility, strength, endurance, and safety. Using the YogaFit teaching system, traditional yoga poses are combined with crunches, push-ups, and squats to create a rewarding fitness-oriented class that blends Mind, Body, and Spirit. This flowing, no-impact workout is designed to be safe for most fitness levels. Enjoy an environment of encouragement and respect as you experience the mind and body health benefits of vinyasa yoga. Our classes are taught by YogaFit trained Instructors. Morning and evening class times available.
